2005 Zoning Approval: Attorney Vincent Sabatini successfully obtained zoning approval for the establishment of the Spirit Church. The Town of Windsor had previously eliminated church uses in its commercial zones. The Church then hired the law firm of Sabatini and Associates. We submitted a legal position paper on the town's representatives and in response the town's legal counsel recommended to the town that it had to reinstate the zoning regulation allowing for church use in compliance with state and federal law. The town took the recommended action and the town's planning and zoning commission approved the establishment of the church.
2005 Will Contest Litigation - The law firm was retained by an estate where a challenge was made to the will by the decedent's grandchildren. The firm successfully overcame the challenge and the will was admitted in Probate.
2005 Appeal File: On behalf of the firm's client, an appeal was filed against the Town of New Hartford for its denial of a planning and zoning application to operate a gravel pit and mining operation.
2005 Zoning: Representing a real estate company, the firm obtained the necessary permits to construct and operate a TGI Friday’s restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Connecticut.
2005 Zoning: The firm was retained by a local developer for the purpose of establishing a La-Z-Boy retail store on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Connecticut.
BENCH TRIAL VERDICT 2005 – Verdict for woman who suffered a fractured arm as a result of a fall on a sidewalk at the University of Connecticut’s campus in West Hartford, CT. The fall was caused by the accumulation of goose droppings. The firm was able to prove that the State had notice of the problem and had failed to take adequate measures to prevent and clean up the goose droppings.
WRONGFUL DEATH SETTLEMENT 2005 – Settlement obtained for the estate of a man who passed away while on board an international flight. The airline failed to timely and adequately respond to our client’s medical condition and as a result of the delay, he died.
SETTLEMENT 2005 – Settlement for an elderly lady who slipped and fell on a defective carpet. She suffered a torn rotator cuff and required surgery. Through discovery, the law firm was able to learn that the property owner had known of the problem with the rug rolling up and had typically taped the rug down on the floor. However, on the date of the incident, the rug was not taped down to the floor.
SETTLEMENT 2005 – Settlement for a client injured in a motor vehicle collision. The client sustained a 5% permanent partial impairment to her cervical spine. The case settled on the eve of trial after the insurance company more than doubled its previous offer to settle the case.
LAWSUIT FILED 2005 – On behalf of two former employees who were wrongfully terminated as a result of their union organizing activities.
WORKERS COPENSATION CLAIM FILED 2005 – Workers compensation claim filed on a behalf of our client, a nurse, who after years of being exposed to latex based medical products, developed a severe and permanent latex allergy.
SETTLEMENT 2004 - Settlement obtained for a client who suffered a serious laceration to his hand as the result of a defective power saw.
SETTLEMENT 2004 - Settlement obtained for client against Citigroup for client's stock market losses involving negligent mismanagement of retirement accounts.
SUCCESSFUL DCF APPEAL 2004 - Successful appeal taken on behalf of two clients who were wrongly found by the CT Department of Children and Families to have engaged in physical neglect during the course of their employment. The substantiation findings were reversed on appeal for both clients.
SETTLEMENT 2004 - Settlement obtained for client who sustained permanent neck injuries as a result of a collision with a tractor-trailer.
SETTLEMENT 2004 - Settlement for a client who sustained permanent neck injuries as a result of motor vehicle collision.
LAWSUIT FILED 2004 - Product liability lawsuit filed against manufacturer of Yellow Swarm, an ephedra based dietary supplement

TGI FRIDAYS APPROVED 2004 - Through the efforts of Sabatini and Associates, LLC, permits and zoning approval were obtained from the Town of Newington for the development and construction of a TGI Fridays.
MORMON CHURCH APPROVED 2004 - Through the efforts of Sabatini and Associates, LLC, zoning was obtained for the development of a Mormon Church in the Town of Canton.
WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION 2004 - Settlement for client suffering from mesothelioma caused by asbestos exposure at the workplace.
SETTLEMENT 2003 - Medical malpractice case against a major Connecticut hospital involving a transurethral resection of the prostate surgery which caused a blood infection which then caused numerous injuries.
SETTLEMENT 2003 - Settlement obtained for a property owner against a Connecticut City for industrial sludge buried underneath the property.
SETTLEMENT 2003 - Settlement obtained for RDU Corp. against Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. involving breach of contract and business tort claims.
SETTLEMENT 2003 - Settlement obtained for client who sustained injuries while attempting to board a Southwest Airlines flight at Bradley International Airport.
SETTLEMENT 2003 - Settlement obtained for a victim of an assault and battery. The assailants were never apprehended. The case was brought against the owners of a club and parking lot for failing to provide adequate security.
JUDGMENT 2003 - Sabatini and Associates, LLC representing an individual who was not paid his commissions owed to him by Colt's Manufacturing prevailed in arbitration where the arbitration panel awarded our client five (5) million dollars. The award was subsequently confirmed by the Hartford Superior Court. Colt's has appealed.
LAWSUIT FILED 2003 - Lawsuit filed on behalf of client who suffers from mesothelioma caused by the exposure to asbestos.

WALGREENS APPROVED 2003 - Through the efforts of Sabatini and Associates, LLC, wetlands and zoning permits were obtained from the Newington Land and Zoning and Conservation Commissions thereby allowing for the development and construction of a Walgreen’s store on the Berlin Turnpike.
SUBDIVISION APPROVED 2003 - Through the efforts of Sabatini and Associates, LLC, wetlands and zoning permits were obtained for developer to construct a residential subdivision.
RETAINED 2003 - Sabatini and Associates, LLC retained by the Town of Rocky as special counsel.
RETAINED 2003 - By Regional Developers to obtain sign approvals for storage facilities in Newington, CT.

TARGET STORE APPROVED 2002 - Through the efforts of Sabatini and Associates, LLC, the development and construction of the Target Store in Newington, CT has been approved by Newington's Planning and Zoning Commission.
KRISPY KREME APPROVED 2002 - Representing Jan Companies, owner of the Krispy Kreme franchise for Connecticut, Sabatini and Associates, LLC obtained Newington's Planning and Zoning Commission's approval of the Krispy Kreme store in Newington.
CT. LAWSUIT FILED 2002 - Lawsuit filed in CT Federal Court on behalf of RDU Corp. alleging breach of contract and business torts against Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.
SETTLEMENT 2002 - Settlement for a United States Postal employee who tore his rotator cuff when he fell from a defective ramp.
SETTLEMENT 2002 - Settlement for a minor child who suffered a permanent scar as the result of a defective product.
JURY VERDICT 2001 - Compensation to a thirty-nine year old police officer working traffic duty at a construction site. A tree cutting company negligently cut down a tree that struck and snapped a live electrical power line forcing the officer to flee to avoid electrocution. In doing so, he was hit by a motor vehicle. The officer suffered lower back injuries.
RETAINED 2001 - Sabatini and Associates, LLC retained by Target Stores for land use and zoning work for the development of a new Target store in Newington, Connecticut.
RETAINED 2001 - Sabatini and Associates, LLC retained by Starbucks, Inc. for land use and zoning work for the development of new Starbucks stores in the Greater Hartford area.

JURY VERDICT 2001 - Compensation to a 19 year old female who was riding in the front passenger seat of a motor vehicle when it rear ended another vehicle causing her to fly forward, strike and shatter the windshield. She suffered a permanent injury to the cervical spine.
SETTLEMENT 2001 - Settlement for a child after one day of trial for a fractured arm she suffered after falling from a deck without guardrails.
SETTLEMENT 2001 - Settlement after two days of trial for a United States Postal employee who fell on ice while delivering the mail. He suffered a fractured ankle.
SETTLEMENT 2001 - Settlement for 4 passengers who suffered severe emotional distress while on board American Airlines Flight no. 1572 from Chicago to Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
