Settlement - Motor Vehicle Collision

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

James Sabatini recently obtained a settlement for the insurance policy limits on behalf of a client seriously injured in a motor vehicle collision.  The case settled shortly before jury selection.  Throughout the two year litigation, the insurance company maintained that the claim was worth no more than $20,000.00.  Despite the insurance company’s position, plaintiff’s demand remained unchanged - settlement for the full policy limit.  This case is yet another example of the need to stand firm with your settlement demand and be prepared for trial in order to obtain fair compensation for the client.

Housewrecked

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

The ten year housing boom has produced an increase of serious defects. Some of the serious defects are as follows: foundation cracks, sagging floors, leaning walls, water damage, roof leaks, excessive heating or cooling bills caused by leaky or improperly connected air ducts, shorting or dead outlets, and doors and windows not properly installed.  What is causing the sharp rise in home construction defects: greed.  The quicker the home is built the more money the builder stands to make.  Unfortunately, in the rush to make more money, corners are cut and inferior materials are used.  The lawyers at Sabatini and Associates, LLC have represented many homeonwers who have been victimized by contractors who failed to construct their home or addition in a workmanlike manner.  If your house contains serious defects, feel free to contact the firm so that we can provide you with your legal options.

Medication Errors

Medications errors are one of the leading causes of death and serious injury.  The primary causes for medications error are poor oversight, illegible handwriting, lack of communication, fatigue, and inadequate safeguards.  Many errors occur when a patient is under the care of multiple doctors and is under multiple prescriptions being filled by multiple pharmacies.  It is important that all the prescribing physicians are aware of the medications the patient is under to ensure that there are no contraindications.  Over the last two years, the law firm has successfully settled claims for clients injured due to medication errors.
